About this product
Your whole school, in one place
Scoolin is school management software, or a school ERP, built for K-12 schools in India. It is made for the people who actually run a school: owners, principals and the office staff who handle admissions, fees, attendance and exams every day. Scoolin is currently in beta with invite-only access. Schools can request an invite at https://scoolin.com/auth/register. If you would like to try something today, the free tools at https://scoolin.com/tools work for anyone without an invite or a sign-up.
The problem it solves
Many small and mid-size Indian schools still run on a mix of paper registers, Excel sheets and a fee app that does not talk to anything else. The same child's details get typed again and again: once at admission, again for the fee register, again for attendance, again for the report card and once more when the school issues a transfer certificate. Every copy is a chance for a spelling mistake, a wrong date of birth or a fee entry that does not match. When a parent asks a simple question, the answer is often spread across three files.
Scoolin is built around one idea: one record per student. Admissions, fee collection, attendance, the timetable, exams and certificates all read from that same record. You enter a child's details once, and every part of the school works from the same information.
What works today
Admissions and enquiries are handled in one place, and existing student lists can be brought in from Excel, up to 5,000 students at a time, with an undo if something goes wrong.
Fee collection is designed for how Indian parents actually pay. The office can record cash, UPI, cheque, card, bank transfer or demand draft payments and issue numbered receipts. Concessions and fines are supported, and fee reminders can go out by email.
Attendance covers both students and staff. It includes QR gate attendance, monthly registers, leave requests and gate alerts by email. The timetable module rings automatic school bells and suggests cover when a teacher is absent, and there is a school calendar.
Exams follow your board. Report cards support CBSE 8-point grades, and percentage and division for ICSE and state boards, along with marks entry, result analysis and the exam schedule.
The certificates schools issue all the time are built in: transfer certificates (TC), bonafide certificates and others, plus QR student ID cards and student promotion at the end of the year. Staff records, roles and access, and staff leave are included, as are a notice board, a library and a visitor log for the front desk.
Who it is for
Scoolin is meant for CBSE schools, ICSE and state board schools, preschools and groups of schools. It runs in any phone or computer browser, so there is nothing to install. Mobile apps for parents, teachers and principals are coming soon. The software is English-only for now.
Some modules are still marked "Soon" on the website, including online admissions, online fee payment, Tally export, payroll, homework, SMS and WhatsApp messages, parent chat, bus GPS, hostel, inventory and the mobile apps. We would rather be clear about what is ready and what is still being built.
Pricing
Pricing is simple. Scoolin is free for schools with up to 100 students, and no card is needed. Above that it costs ₹5 per student per month, and ₹3 for each student above 500, with 30% off when you pay yearly. Beta schools get early access. There are no ads and no data selling, and your school's data is exportable.
Free tools you can use right now
While the ERP is invite-only, Scoolin's free tools are open to everyone at https://scoolin.com/tools. They include a transfer certificate (TC) maker, bonafide and character certificate makers, a student ID card maker, a timetable maker and a fee receipt maker. They run in the browser and your data stays on your computer, so they are an easy way to see how Scoolin thinks about everyday school paperwork.
How to get access
Scoolin is built by Sunny Kumar, its founder, from Delhi. If you run or work at a school in India and want to move off registers and scattered spreadsheets, request an invite at https://scoolin.com/auth/register. You can also book a free demo at https://scoolin.com/demo. Feedback from anyone who has worked in a school office is very welcome, especially about the most painful parts of running a school's admin.
